Responsibilities

• Follow AGILE development methodologies to deliver high-quality software products and client-oriented projects.
• Analyze the project, estimate software development work effort, track work effort using tracking software.
• Develop new functionalities and maintain existing ones.
• Research, design, and implement technical specifications for projects based on user requirements as indicated in the scope of work, wireframes, and sitemap documents.
• Performing code reviews and contributing to technical design discussions.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of websites, intranets, applications, and other custom programming assignments as applicable in the PHP or WordPress frameworks.
• Proposing improvement ideas for the applications, procedures, and technologies.
• Documenting and sharing knowledge with other team members.

Requirements

• Relevant experience of 3+ years in Web Development (HTML 5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery)
• Relevant experience of 2+ years with WordPress Framework and related platforms (WooCommerce, WPLMS, etc.);
• Experience of 1+ years in REST API-driven web development.
• Relevant experience of 1+ years in custom WordPress development through page templates, Advanced Custom Fields Pro, Custom Post Types
• Relevant experience of 2+ years in responsive development, mobile development best practices
• A very good understanding of WordPress, its defined best practices, themes configuration, issues, conflicts, admin panel
• Knowledge of server environment, cpanel administration, VPS
• A good level of fluency in MySQL, familiarity with database administration and optimization.
• Experience using versioning control tools such as GIT.
• Writing quality code that is testable and maintainable.
• Knowledge of web security best practices
• Staying up to date with emerging technologies/industry trends and applying them to operations and activities.

Nice to have

• Experience of 1+ years with AngularJS/Angular Framework/Typescript, VueJS
• Experience of 1+ years in PHP frameworks, such as Symfony, CodeIgniter, Laravel;
• Knowledge of Atlassian products – Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence
• Experience in other PHP based CMS such as Magento, Drupal, etc
• Familiar with complex architectural solutions, based on distributed applications, microservices, API calls, SaaS platforms, etc..
• Ability to understand deeper WordPress structure, theme files, hooks, functions.
